i love poppies myself! i have yet to photograph some this year. must go and find some.. i wonder whatever happened to "california poppies",there aren't any where i live.

Poppies are absolutely gorgeous. When I was in Europe several years ago they were in bloom and it was splendid. I don't think we get any down here where I'm at, but we have plenty of other wonderful wild flowers that bloom in the spring and the whole place just lights up. It's my favorite.
