Kids Class learns how to make bird mobile

Today at Sew Crafty's kids camp, we learned how to make awesome felt bird mobiles. If you have been following my blog for some time you will remember when I made a paper journal about 2 years ago.

This time we took the same idea and applied it to felt. I love working with felt and it's something great for younger kids to work with. It's sturdy, cuts well, and always stay stiff! Some of the kids wanted to stick with the old paper so we made a deal. Half felt, half paper bird mobile and it worked out just fine.

Thanks kids!!

It was super easy. All you need is a bird and wing shape, then trace and cut the felt, glue and done! We took dowel rods and tied them together in the center to make the 'mobile' part. Less then 30 minutes!!
