Come Out To Sew Crafty's Re-Grand Opening

Houston's first craft studio and sewing lounge is excited to announce it's grand re-opening at 321 W. 19th street in the heart of the Houston Heights. Grand Re-Opening festivities include a private media preview party on October 22nd from 6-9pm, and a public day-long event on Saturday, October 24th from 10am-5pm.

After a summer of construction, painting, hunting and gathering, Sew Crafty has moved from it's original location on White Oak Ave., to it's new home on 19th street.

Planned events include a private media preview on October 22nd from 6-9pm, and an all-day community party on October 24th. The community party on the 24th will include all day activities for kids and adults alike, such as Paper Mask Making, Clay Pumpkin Decorating and Halloween costume workshops. Food provided by Cuisine Charlemagne and famous Saint Arnold Root Beer will be served to quench the thirst of busy crafters!

The new location will still prodive geek chic crafters with the popular classes they've grown to know and love over the last year. Classes such as Sewing Bootcamp I and II, Intro to Sewing, Knitting 101 and specialty workshops. The new location will allow for many other events such as Crafty Cocktails, a brand new Thursday night drop-in event called Late Night Craft, and Mother/Daughter Craft Night. As if that were not enough to drive craft fanatics into a frenzy, Sew Crafty debuts a brand new craft experience, Drop-In Crafting.

The mission of Sew Crafty is to help you Make Something! Located centrally in the Houston Heights, Sew Crafty offers classes in sewing, knitting, kids crafts and DIY workshops to give everyone from beginners to super crafters the chance to learn new skills and have a blast! Working with your hands is inspiring, relaxing, fun and a generally awesome way to connect with who you are. What do you want to make today?
