Fairy Felts Handknits currently live near Sacramento, CA. She fell in love with fiber and knitting about 5 years ago. "I love to look at different yarns and really enjoy seeing unusual colors and textures.", says Fairy Felts Handknits. She began using felt when she saw a pattern for a pair of ballerina slippers. She decided she was going to make them for her daughter. She fell in love and decided that felting can be a great, very forgiving medium that she has been exploring ever since!
Now, when she travels, she seeks out local spinners and fiber artists and brings home their work as a souvenir. Which I think is very cool!
She also teaches knitting and fiber appreciation in her children's school. "Mostly, I think I frustrate the poor children but some of them pick it up.", says Fairy Felts Handknits.
